Curse this gloomy season! This photo was literally the brightest it got outdoors in February. Oh well, such is life. You can see the colours better in the yarn shot. Very pretty.
I've made this shawl once before for myself in black, grey, and cream. This time around I made it for a friend who admired mine, except in a palette that's perfect for her of Cloudborn Fibers Highland Sport in Stormy Skies, Sky Blue, and Ocean.
The shawl turned out a bit bigger than the first I made; not sure if it was my gauge or the yarn had more stretch. Still looks good though!
This shawl is so utterly simple with striping to give it personality. This time around, I carried the yarn between colour changes. I saved so much time and aggravation not having to weave in all those ends. Rookie mistake the first time that I'll not make again. (I like to make new mistakes every time!)
There are, indeed, a couple of minor boo boos that of course I didn't find until too late. I like to subscribe to the "Only God is perfect" tradition, so let's just pretend I made them deliberately.
