Snuggly wuggly knit elephant for a little boo

I knit this little fella back in the early fall for an expectant friend and co-worker. (Yes! I'm very behind in my posts!)

Unfortunately, I wasn't diligent about recording my materials. I think the yarn was probably Patons Classic Wool DK Superwash because that's what I used for this guy. The requirements were pretty much the same, both patterns coming from the fantastic Knitted Wild Animals: A Collection of Adorable Animals to Create from Scratch by Sarah Keen.

He's pretty cute, right?

Then along came baby Thomas. Squee!!! You want to talk about cute?

Of course, I was pretty excited when the elephant started showing up in the month-by-month growth pics. Fingers crossed the elephant's seams hold up.  Them tusks were made for chewing though. I betcha they'll be good and grubby in no time.

Nothing makes a knitter happier than to see a gift in use. Clearly, this is going to be an action elephant, and I'm delighted.
