This little number was such a pleasure to knit, both because of the pattern and the yarn choice.

Maybe the not 100% smoothness of the skein got it thrown it the oopsie pile? Anyways, score by me! Half price, full value.

This yarn was an oopsie from Expression Fiber Arts. I wish I knew for sure what it is (Resilient Sock, maybe?) because I luuuuurve it. I don’t really know what made it an oopsie either because it seemed perfect to me. Maybe it was a colour that didn’t make it to sale, or maybe the skein wasn't just perfectly wound? Dunno… Love it, and it was a great colour that I probably wouldn't have gravitated to on my own.

This pattern, Aegean by Skeinwalker Knits, was simple and meditative, but stayed interesting to knit. A fine balance for a designer to walk!

I added three repeats to the width of the pattern to bring it from 7ish inches to 9ish inches wide, and knit as many repeats as I could until I was about to run out of yarn. It was about 10 g per pattern repeat, and I ended with about 2 g to spare. (I use our kitchen scale for yarn way more often than I use it for cooking. If it's not on the pantry shelf, it's probably on the side table in the living room.)

I am glad I made it wider because it does like to squoosh right up. I think it would be too grippy and tight feeling if it was narrower. That's a bit of a thing of mine - despite my love for accessories around my neck, they have to feel loose or I feel panicky.

I've worn this little number a few times already. It's feels light and summery and dresses up a simple navy t-shirt quite nicely.
