Stitching with little sticks

August 7, 2017 Frances Ranger

Seeing the fun and sometimes-subversive work of folks on a Facebook group for "Mildly Offensive Fiber Artists" recently inspired me to start cross-stitching again. I used to do it all the time. I'm not really sure when I stopped except I know I was either pregnant with Lily or she was a newborn because when I dug out my embroidery bag from the closet in which it had been hiding, it had a half-finished cross-stitch map of Ireland, still in the hoop. I started it sometime after we got back from Ireland in the Fall of 2001. Oops.

Anyhoo, I wanted to restart with something small and fun. I bought this pattern from StitchyLittleFox on Etsy and made it for Aaron. He loves it, and so do I.
