Why yes, another long delayed Christmas gift post. It IS ridiculous, but I like these hats quite a lot - as well as the goofballs in them. I could NOT get properly posed pics, so I’m rolling with it.
Goofball 1, with the kazoo, is wearing the fabulous Bigfoot Hat, a free pattern by WoolyRhino Crafts. If you are not actually a knitter yourself, or you just don’t have the time, you can buy one ready made from her Etsy shop. (Fair warning though, shipping costs to Canada are steep!) The lovely purple colour is Patons North America Classic Wool Worsted in Wisteria. I used a speckled black worsted that I’ve been knitting stuff from forever. It’s truly the ball that never ends! I don’t remember what it is but I’m thinking it’s Patons as well.
Goofball 2, the left-handed one, is wearing a design of my own creation that was heavily inspired by the Bigfoot hat. The yarn is absolutely luscious, mYak Baby Yak Medium, in Moss and Midnight Blue colourways.
If you are interested in the pattern, you can download a pdf here. It hasn’t been tech edited or test knit, so please let me know if you find any oopsies. And let me know if you do make it - I’d love to see pictures.
